About

A little about me... I'm a Full-stack Web Developer currently working for Fidelity Investments. Since joining Plan Sponsor Workstation after graduating from Fidelity's Post-College training program LEAP I have became an Angular 2+ Subject Matter Expert to meet our platforms developing needs. I have lead multiple teams simultaneously on development best practices, designed cross-team functionality, innovated on existing stacks and functionality, and mentored individual members on accessibility, debugging, and testing. I'm a member and facilitator of both the API Guild and Client-Side Guild for Workplace Investments at Fidelity. I bring a client-focused attitude to every project I am, focusing on delivering the best user experience possible to our customers.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Computer Science from Appalachian State University. I also graduated with departmental honors for writing my thesis 'Developing a Two-Tiered Testing Application for All Three Major Mobile Platforms'. As part of my research for my thesis, and as part of meeting requirements for one of my two academic scholarships, I lead a team of 2 other senior computer science students to develop a two-tiered testing application using Xamarin forms.

Outside of work I'm a bit of a mixed bag. I'm typically playing video games, reading comics, or brewing new Magic The Gathering Commander decks. I'm also an avid non-comic reader and try to maintain a healthy balance of fiction and non-fiction. I just recently finished Steven King's The Dark Tower series and am reading Finite and Infinite Games by James P. Carse. Recently I've been using the Seinfeld Method to practice Data Structure and Algorithms daily and have started participating in competitive coding competitions. You can find out more about that or reach my Github or Linkedin in the Sites section down below.

If you've made it all the way to the bottom here, thank you so much for reading. If you have any cool projects in mind reach out and we can discuss the work to be done. Thanks!

Full Stack Web Developer

While I do have experience in mobile development, embedded systems, and machine learning, these days I'm primarily a full stack Java/Angular/MySql developer.
